Draft Deadline= Brugge in Winter= Counting days.
Is there a chance for snow in Belgium in the end of November? There probably isn’t and it only just occurred to me now! I was imagining a perfect, white town… Long live naivity! I’m glad I realised this now, imagine the disappointment otherwise.
1).I’ve wanted to photograph this unfolded IKEA file holder (or whatever it is called) since it appeared in our house a good month or so ago and never got round to do it, until I saw Carl Kleiner’s ‘Everyday Geometry’ series yesterday. It couldn’t wait any longer. It’s a bit crap and quick but I’m craving photographing flat/ 3d things so hopefully I’ll find time to do some more. Sa sa sa sa…
2).Orange things! It’s a bit sad but I’ve been totally into this summer’s fashionable bold colours and just couldn’t resist photographing my beautiful orange flower with this shot from an iD magazine in the background. Yum yum, I could eat it.
The night train to Belgrade. It’s hot but there’s a pleasant draft in the carriage- all the windows are open. In the corridor, a young man is playing accordion and I feel like I’m in some surreal but incredibly romantic film.
The train is moving towards a storm. Though it’s dark already and you can’t distinguish shapes of the clouds, time after time the sky lights up with a lightening. The sound of thunder blends with the heavy clatter of the train’s wheels on the rails.
Part Four: Me touristing @ St Stephen’s Basilica
Due to the arrangement of our flights/ train journeys, I had to wait for Greg for two days in Budapest this summer. I took a bus there from Poland and he was joining me later coming on a plane. I kind of enjoyed exploring the city on my own- I think it’s something everyone wants to do sometimes. I saw some of the ‘main’ tourist attractions (like St Stephen’s Basilica for example) as well just walked around aimlessly. I enjoyed both, but to be honest by the end of my stay there I seriously missed having my man with me and was over the moon to see him emerge from the tube station when he finally arrived:)
Part Two: My stay @ BeboP Hostel
Really cool place. I stayed there for 2 nights last summer (2010) and met people from all around the globe. 2 Austrians, one Irish, one English and one Australian. And the Hungarians of course!
